Welcome, Fiction Writers Made Easy listeners!
I’m so glad you found your way here. Because you tuned into my episode on Writing for Your Communities Instead of the White/Neurotypical/Mainstream Lens, I’ve put together an exclusive resource to help you deepen your creative clarity and reclaim your storytelling lens. This workbook pulls from one of my most popular sessions inside The Residency, my online writing community at Burgeon Design and Editorial.
Inside, you’ll find tools to set aligned creative goals, write with purpose, and stay rooted in your voice. Let this be your invitation to build momentum in a way that feels honest, sustainable, and yours.
Breaking Mindset Barriers & Setting Intentional Goals
As writers, we face both personal and systemic barriers—self-doubt, perfectionism, and the weight of external forces like homophobia, transphobia, racism, and ableism. These obstacles shape how we view ourselves and our work, often leaving us feeling frustrated, unworthy, or just plain stuck.
This workbook invites you to gently uncover those mindset blocks and explore the beliefs that may be standing in your way. With thoughtful exercises and reflective prompts, you’ll find clarity and reconnect with the heart of your creative journey. Together, we’ll set intentional goals that honor your unique process and bring you closer to the writer you’re meant to be.
Meet Your Guide
Hi, I’m Tiffany Grimes
Pronouns: she/they
Not only have I worked with hundreds of writers on everything from character motivation and deepening theme to plotting, mindset blocks, and revision breakthroughs—but I’m a writer, too.
My stories explore haunted families, stubborn identities, and the messy, beautiful ways people love and hurt each other. Born in sunny Florida and raised on gothic novels and sweet tea, I now live in Oregon with two cats who absolutely run the place (and let me live here, generously).
I help writers move past performance and into radical honesty, centering stories that disrupt, heal, and refuse to be simplified. If you’re drafting, revising, brainstorming, or just trying to find your way back to the page, I’m here to support you. Because your story deserves to be told—and told well.
